In 1976 I was a member of the Resident band at Filey Folk Club. Originally called “The Filey Fettlers” we changed our name to “Slack Wattre”. That’s East Yorkshire speak for Low or Ebb Tide. I had a brand new Amstrad stereo tape deck (State of the art, I don’t think) and produced a cassette for friends and family and decided on the name of “Low Tide Studios” I still love recording music but these days I have a professional Yamaha AW4416 portable recording deck so I can go out and about recording live music. I do this on a semi professional basis but I have also done work for charities as well.
These days “Low Tide Studios” also undertakes work for Videos and Photographs.. In 2001 I won the first prize in What Camcorder and Camcorder User for my one minute film “the Spike” I’ll try and add samples of my work over the coming months.Click the links below for more.
