Welcome to the official home of the International Register of Microcaravans
This web site covers some of the more common British Microcaravans and small camper vans. We haven’t owned one for a number of years now and find it increasingly difficult to find out any new information on these lovely bits of kit.

IROM was originally set up in response to a casual remark about one of the first microcaravans that I owned way back in 1996. The register was set up as a free archive of material relating to our hobby and over time I have much of that recorded digitally.. Most of what you will see on here is of low resolution but I have available larger size files of these items for those who request it.

The magazine MMCN is no more but I’ve posted a few old copies on this site and have a few more in the archive for anyone that needs them.
For those looking for information on microcaravans (A term I coined a few years back) you may well do to use the US vernacular of “Teardrop Trailers” as they are affectionately known over there. People have been building these for themselves from the early 1930's and plans and kits are still available.

If you find this site interesting I would be pleased to hear from you. I would be even more interested if you had any information on these lovely  craft  that I don’t have.
