How we can help you improve your Scores on the Doors Rating
As you can see from the Press Release below, we have helped Stan and his team at Harrogate District Hospital achieve a 5 Star award on the SOTD system. We have also done a similar program for The Star at Sancton and Caring for Life. We can help you improve your own rating. In April we will be launching a new scheme for Small and Medium sized food businesses.
Peace of Mind
For a small monthly outlay (can be cancelled at any time without incurring penalties), we will undertake an initial Scores on the Doors Audit like the mock up below. This gives you an easy to read “Traffic Light” coded report which will show you where you need to concentrate your efforts and help you improve your score rating. We will then continue giving you up to 2 hours of email or telephone support in case you need any help with Food Safety Matters. For example if there is a customer complaint, advice on how to deal with an adverse Hygiene Inspection etc.
Technical Support
We have helped literally hundreds of Food Businesses to improve their Food Hygiene standards over the years and there is little that we either don’t know or can’t find out for you on Food Safety matters. For example did you know that making your own Fresh Herb infused Oils there is a risk of botulism food poisoning which can be fatal.
Under Annexe 5 Part 3 of the Food Law 2008 document Environmental Health Officers have to risk assess and score which is later converted to the 5 Star rating System. You can get that elusive 5th Star simply by having access to Technical Support. We will be issuing participating members a laminated certificate detailng that we are providing this. If you would like a sample copy just complete the form below and we will send you one out.
Significant financial benefits of joining the scheme.
There will be an automatic 10% reduction on any training booked while the service is in place. We will also offer substantial discounts on any follow up audits or site visits. If you have electrical equipment we can also offer substantial discounts on testing your equipment. Usually when we are visiting a food business undertaking PAT tests we will also report any potential problems or potential breaches of food hygiene regulations that we come across at the time. Effectively this is a win win situation as you are getting two services for the price of one. We also undertake formal accredited Health & Safety and Fire Safety Training and can offer informal advice if we spot any potential Hazards although we have access to some highly trained professional consultants in these areas if there is a major requirement in this area.
Find out more without obligation
If you simply fill the form below we will send out a pdf copy of the certificate that would be issued for you to display prominently to your customers and enforcement agencies. We will also send out a simple pdf of a PowerPoint Presentations that will help you understand how this system stands.

Local Entrepreneur and Food Safety expert, Steve Pepper has just completed the first of a series of H.A.C.C.P. Food Safety training events and Food Safety Audits at HDH.
Stan Ash Hotel Services Manager said
“We were determined to prove and ensure that our standards of hygiene were of the highest quality. Steve has certainly helped us achieve this by training our staff, undertaking external audits and providing us with Technical knowledge on Food Safety. We are justifiably proud that our standards are of the highest order and that our Food Hygiene rating on ‘Scores on the Doors’ is the full five stars. This equates to them being graded as excellent”
Steve said
”Stan and the team have done really well in achieving and maintaining these standards.
On the day I presented the certificates I had lunch in the staff restaurant, safe in the knowledge that the food hygiene would be fine. I was knocked back by the actual quality of the food as well and would comment that it is of a very high standard. It would not look out of place in some of the better hotels in the area.
Harrogate should be really proud of what this team of Caterers achieves. Good Health and recovery starts with having excellent food like this.”
